Biologists on a Construction Site?

Did you know that on any major construction project, long before the bulldozers and trucks ever show up, the first workers on site are a team of biologists? Our environmental experts play a vital role in the development of the New Champlain Bridge Corridor Project.

In fact, this particular project features numerous environmental specifications, particularly in terms of water, wildlife, air and noise. To confirm compliance with such conditions, a wide range of permits must be obtained from Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Transport Canada and the City of Montreal, as well as all boroughs affected by the project.

Environmental specialists specially hired for the duration of construction will be surveying the site and any adjacent areas in an effort to minimize the project’s impacts on wildlife habitats, particularly those of peregrine falcons and cliff swallows.
