Closure of May Street for work

In the coming days, for reasons of health and safety and to facilitate work in the area, May Street will be closed to traffic for an indefinite period.

Gilberte-Dubé, Jacques Lauzon and Rushbrooke streets will be reconfigured to reduce the impact on local traffic. The contractor will provide space at the end of the streets to allow motorists to turn around.

The Verdun borough will be communicating with citizens to explain how this will affect residential parking, waste collection, etc.

Once the work is complete, the permanent closure of May Street to vehicles (between Wellington and Rushbrooke) will require a reconfiguration of streets in the neighbourhood. The Borough of Verdun will keep its residents informed, as required.
