End of the fabrication of the cable-stayed bridge superstructure

This week marks the end of the fabrication of the components of the cable stayed bridge portion. The fabrication of the 158 pieces was done at Tecade in Spain from March 2016 until July 2018: more than 14,000 tons of steel were thus machined.

Another major step in achieving our common goal: the construction of a new bridge for the greater Montreal area. The ship carrying these last parts will arrive at the port of Montreal in mid-August and will ring the end of deliveries from Spain.
