Pedestrian/cycling lane closure under the Île-des-Sœurs Bridge effective November 27, 2019*

[Update: December 8 – 1:30 p.m.] With the pedestrian/cyclist corridor on René-Lévesque Blvd. reopened between the Champlain Bridge and Claude-Robutel roundabout, the shuttle’s routes and schedules will be adjusted effective Tuesday, December 10, 2019 (6 a.m.).

The following is the shuttle’s new schedule for the duration of the pedestrian/cyclist lane closure between Pointe-Sud and Pointe-Nord, under the Île-des-Sœurs Bridge:

  • Weekdays: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Weekends: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Two stops will be maintained:

  • Chemin de la Pointe-Nord in front of the Bell Complex, after the bus stop
  • Chemin du Golf in front of the SAX Condominium complex’s entrance, after the bus stop

The pedestrian/cyclist shuttle service is free and provided by Groupe Logic-Or. Users who board the shuttle accept its terms of use.

 

 

[Original article] As part of the construction of the New Champlain Bridge Corridor Project, Signature on the Saint Lawrence wishes to inform pedestrians and cyclists of a major disruption between the Pointe-Sud and Pointe-Nord areas, under the Île-des-Sœurs Bridge.

Effective Wednesday, November 27, 2019 (5 a.m.) until the end of fall 2019*, the pedestrian/cyclist trail will be completely closed between the Pointe-Sud and Pointe-Nord areas, under the Île-des-Sœurs Bridge. This closure will enable our teams to complete work on the bicycle and pedestrian path in this area.

The stops and schedules of the pedestrian shuttle route, currently in operation with the closure of the pedestrian/cyclist corridor on René-Lévesque Boulevard, will be adapted. As a result, the shuttle will operate 24/7 during the period when the pedestrian/cycling path is unavailable between the Pointe-Sud and Pointe-Nord areas (about three weeks*). Four stops will be available:

  • Chemin de la Pointe-Nord in front of the Bell Complex, after the bus stop
  • Chemin du Golf in front of the SAX Condominimum complex’s entrance, after the bus stop
  • Place du Commerce near the IGA, after the bus stop
  • René-Lévesque Blvd. / Berlioz St., after the bus stop

The pedestrian/cyclist shuttle service is free and provided by Groupe Logic-Or. Users who board the shuttle accept its terms of use.
