[Original article]As part of the construction work on the Samuel-de Champlain Bridge, Signature on the Saint Lawrence wishes to inform road users of a major disruption on Hwy-15 South, in the Verdun/Le Sud-Ouest sector.
Specifically, Exit 60 – Boul. Gaétan-Laberge of Hwy-15 South will be closed as of Monday, March 16, 2020 (10 p.m.) for two (2) months*. This complete closure will allow construction crews to set up the exit ramp’s final configuration and layout.
Road users are asked to follow the signs put in place for detours and optional routes in effect:
- Access to Verdun/Le Sud-Ouest: An optional route is recommended via Exit 61 – Av. Atwater.
- Access to the downtown area: The detour for motorists is at Exit 57-N – Chemin de la Pointe-Nord of Hwy-15 South to Hwy-10 West (Bonaventure Expressway). Trucks must use the optional route via Exit 61 – Av. Atwater or continue on Hwy-15 South to take Exit 6 after the Champlain Bridge, then take Hwy-15 North and follow Exit 58 – A10 Ouest / Centre-Ville.
*Dates subject to change. Closures may be cancelled or modified in case of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints.
