Model of New Champlain Bridge on Display at McCord Museum Until 2017

Since November 2, the scale model of the New Champlain Bridge is on display at the McCord Museum as part of an exhibition dedicated to the work of Canadian photographer William Notman. Notman was a Montreal builder, great innovator and distinguished businessman who personally documented in photographs the construction of the Victoria Bridge in the late 1800s. At the time, the construction of the Victoria Bridge was a major event, similar to the construction of the new Champlain Bridge. Visitors can see the model, built by Montreal’s Atelier Dédale, in the lobby of the McCord Museum, where it will be showcased until spring 2017. The presence of the model as well as the photos and videos of the site were made possible through a sponsorship  with SNC-Lavalin, a member of Signature on the Saint Lawrence, the consortium responsible for the design and construction of the New Champlain Bridge Corridor Project in partnership with the Government of Canada.
