Closure of access to Hwy-15 South / Champlain Bridge from L’Île-des-Sœurs Blvd. starting November 13

As part of the New Champlain Bridge Corridor Project and optimization work on L’Île-des-Sœurs Boulevard, Signature on the Saint Lawrence wishes to notify road users of a full closure of the L’Île-des-Sœurs Boulevard entrance to Hwy-15 South starting November 13, 2017 (5 a.m.). Motorists are invited to take the access to Hwy-15 South / Champlain Bridge from René-Lévesque Boulevard. There will be detour signs all along the route. Also, please note the closure of the pedestrian crossing at L’Île-des-Sœurs Boulevard North and Place du Commerce Boulevard North.

For a few weeks now, surveyors have been collecting the required data for the impending optimization work on L’Île-des-Sœurs Boulevard. The addition of a traffic light for the access to Hwy-15 South from L’Île-des-Sœurs Boulevard, as well as the widening to two lanes of certain ramps, are expected by early December. These changes will require major weekend disruptions. Details will be shared on our website, the Waze mobile app and other channels as soon as the dates are confirmed.
