Full closure of the Samuel De Champlain Bridge southbound from August 21 to 24

Roadway rehabilitation work will require the full closure of the Samuel De Champlain Bridge southbound (toward Brossard), from Friday, August 21 at 11 p.m. to Monday, August 24 at 5 a.m.

This closure is necessary to maintain a safe roadway and an optimal level of service for everyone using the transportation network.

Closures

No access to the bridge will be possible southbound for the entire duration of the work.

During this period, the following closures will be in effect:

Full closure of Highway 15 South / Highway 20 East, from Exit 63-W to the Route 132 East entrance ramp toward Highway 10 East (Ramp E);
Closure of the Girouard Avenue entrance ramp to Highway 15 South;
Closure of Exit 68 from Highway 20 East toward Highway 15 North and Highway 15 South (Ramps G and J);
Closure of the exit ramp toward Highway 15 South from Exit 1-S of Highway 20 East / Décarie Boulevard / Saint-Rémi Street (Ramp M);
Closure of Exit 62 from Highway 15 South toward De La Vérendrye Boulevard;
Closure of the De La Vérendrye Boulevard entrance ramp to Highway 15 South;
Closure of Exit 61 from Highway 15 South toward Atwater Avenue;
Traffic channelization from the Atwater Avenue entrance ramp to Exit 60 toward Gaétan-Laberge Boulevard;
Traffic channelization from the Gaétan-Laberge entrance ramp toward Highway 15 South to Exit 57-S toward Boulevard de L’Île-des-Sœurs;
Closure of Exit 57-N from Highway 15 South toward Chemin de la Pointe-Nord;
Closure of Exit 6 from Highway 10 East toward Highway 20 East / Highway 15 South / Route 132;
Closure of Exit 4 from Highway 10 East;
Closure of Exit 5 from Highway 10 East;
Closure of access to Highway 15 South from Boulevard de L’Île-des-Sœurs;
Closure of Pont Champlain Street from René-Lévesque Boulevard.

Detours and recommended routes

A primary detour will be established via:

The Turcot Interchange via Route 136 East and Route 134;
The Jacques-Cartier Bridge and Route 132.

Travel planning

Users are encouraged to plan their trips and use alternative routes whenever possible. The multi-use path will remain open during the work.

To minimize traffic impacts, it is recommended to avoid the area during peak periods and to prioritize public transit or remote work whenever possible.
